RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Must enjoy working directly with the public and conversing with a variety of people.
  • Duties include stocking shelves, setting up displays and pricing items.
  • Supervises and motivates the Shoppe team to provide a high standard of service for the resort guests. Demonstrating Initiative, Problem Solving, Staff Training, Team Leading abilities.
  • Welcomes guests and fosters customer loyalty through his/her friendly manner. Develops high quality relationships with guests throughout their stay.
  • Oversee guest needs by monitoring inventory levels, pricing, and ordering in conjunction with the Guest Services Manager and duty managers, ensuring Shoppe is fully stocked.
  • Review inventory of retail items in pantry and be sure that items are fully stocked.
  • Manages scheduling of hourly employees.
  • Provides high level of customer service and maintains a high profile in the day-to-day Shoppe operations.
  • Ensure that personalized service is offered through the Shoppe attendants to every guest.
  • Integrates and trains employees, providing support for skills development and future advancement opportunities.
  • Ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events.
  • Handles guest complaints or contentious issues that cannot be settled directly by team members and provides reasonable solutions to satisfy guests in a manner that will maintain guests for life.
  • Ensures guest satisfaction on each interaction, including but not limited to receiving/making phone calls, direct guest interaction, placing orders.
  • Sourcing and maintaining vendor and intra-departmental relationships.
  • Scheduling and approving timecards prior to payroll
  • Ensures that all Shoppe employees are well presented (uniforms, personal hygiene etc.), and punctual.
  • Ensures the workplace remains clean and tidy.
  • Ensures that the pricing policy and internal audit procedures are duly applied.
  • Supervises the management of displays, pricing, and guest experience.
  • Participates in the recruitment of new team members for Shoppe.
  • Have a good knowledge of all systems and standard operating procedures Shoppe.
  • Ensures that guest documentation and information is available and up to date.
  • Innovating and updating the guest experience, as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience as Retail Supervisor or Team Leader Supervisory role in a hotel preferred. Cash handling experience required.
  • Knowledge of POS is required.
  • Ability to lift, manage and move boxes and retail items up to 50lbs.
  • Well-developed communication and customer relations skills.
  • Highly organized and results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.

WORK HOURS: This is a full-time, hourly position. Work schedule varies and is dependent on business need. Schedule will include weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours.
