Position responsible for all the food and beverage operations, which includes all restaurants, and food & beverage outlets, excluding culinary. Direct, lead and supervise staff on scheduled shifts. Oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining standards and meeting or exceeding financial goals. Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations. Develops and implements business plan for food and beverage.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Inspect the outlets daily for cleanliness.
  • Regularly walk and inspect all areas in order to direct work with an emphasis on sanitation and cleanliness.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and applicable specials.
  • Supervise and ensure brand standards are adhered to.
  • Be proactive and anticipate guests needs.
  • Must be able to work with other hotel departments to include, front desk, sales, reservations.
  • Remain in the operations during peak business hours, greet and engage with guests to ensure an enjoyable dining experience.
  • Assist in creating menus for the outlets.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both front and back of the house.
  • Be able to operate the hotel computer system.
  • Beverage knowledge

  • Purchasing of beverages, supplies
  • Be able to assist in banquet operations.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures with service staff.
  • Follow proper procedure regarding cash handling, following cash bank reconciliation, and end of shift drop.
  • This is a hands-on role.
  • Spot check guest checks to ensure proper check handling.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked, submit requests for purchasing items in a timely fashion to never run out of anything.
  • Check the side work of staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.
  • Must be able to multi task and adapt to change.
  • Assist with staff payroll.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient restaurant.
  • Know and comply with state food handling and liquor laws.
  • Engage guests in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards.
  • Perform any additional tasks requested by management.

WORK HOURS
50+ hours per week; Flexible schedule to include days, am or pm, time varies based on hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends, holidays

Physical Setting:

  • Restaurants, Cafe, Lobby Bar, Seasonal Operations, including banquets and Fine dining restaurant

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years' experience in the food and beverage management role, culinary, or related professional area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years' experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional

Previous experience in a resort or hotel or related field preferred.

WORK HOURS
Schedule varies and may require evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects less than or equal to 25 lbs without assistance, and standing and walking for long periods of time.

COMPENSATION
Salary is based on experience; Eligible for Yearly Bonus; 401K, PTO, and insurance (health, dental, vision).
