Supervise banquet functions to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently. Ensure compliance with all departmental and company policies and procedures.   • Minimum two (2) years Food & Beverage supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent credential
  • College degree preferred
  • Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal
  • Georgia law requires that one must be over the age of 18 to dispense or serve alcoholic beverages
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office software applications such as: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficient with peripherals, copier, fax, telephone and calculator
  • Must have ability to courteously present information to people in one-on-one and group situations
  • Must be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to adapt to constant changes
  • Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work well with others efficiently and effectively
  • Able to successfully work independently and as part of a team and to work under pressure
  • Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company Dress Code Policy



  • Organize all assigned functions and complete preparation work in accordance with departmental standards
  • Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned functions
  • Check storage areas for proper organization and cleanliness
  • Inspect the scheduled function area/room for cleanliness, working condition and proper furniture/equipment set up. Rectify any deficiencies with respective departments
  • Assign stations and side work to server in accordance with departmental procedures
  • Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Total all charges for the function, prepare invoice for payment adhering to all cashiering procedures/policies
  • Check buffet tables/receptions/breaks for cleanliness, attractiveness, and layout
  • Inspect employee grooming and uniforms rectify any deficiencies
  • Ensure replenishment of items as specified on event orders and requested by function contact
  • Ensure that all food is returned to the kitchen and all banquet supplies are returned to designated storage areas
  • Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before staff sign out
  • Provide feedback on staff performance to manager and report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in the counseling of employees
  • Complete all paperwork and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Jekyll Island Club Resort and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one's ability
  • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to Manager and respective departments immediately
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
  • Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership




  • Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
  • If applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • No visible tattoos, visible body piercing or unnatural hair color or hairstyles per company grooming standards
